There was no good strategy to leave Afghanistan. Which was every president punted. The moment they tried to evacuate the 100k people the country falls.

 

I can create a different thread where they add up the total costs and deaths for the bush disasters.

Tldr ~6 trillion and almost a million deaths.

The other thing to consider is that while a more drawn out withdrawal could likely have been conducted in a more orderly manner, you’re also giving more time for bad actors to organize attacks. It’s difficult for me to determine which path would end up costing less lives.

 

Thats the dumbest **** ever. Wouldn't it have made more sense for Biden to keep troops there until 9/11 if he really was worried about the image ? Do you people even think before you type the **** that you do?!

You forget that lloyd Austin worked for Raython before he joined Biden and Anthony blinken had been working for a defense contractors doing research. None of them wanted to withdrawal and pushed back on the idea back in January when they first met Biden. This just shows to you if you really want to do something you can do it if you have the will. His own advisors, entire media, entire establishment of democrats and Republicans are all bought out by the military establishment.

American service members killed by the Taliban and ISIS in Afghanistan:and Iraq in the past 20 years is around 7,000.

Texans killed by Covid due to Republicans and the Trump cult fighting against masks, lockdowns, and vaccine mandates is 3,840 lives in the past two weeks alone.

In other words, ISIS and the Taliban killed about 26 Americans every 2 weeks and we've lost 147 times that in Texas the past two weeks. Abbott, Cruz, and the rest of the Trump cult have killed far more Texans by their actions than ISIS and the Taliban ever dreamed of.

Those soldiers lost their lives serving our country and fighting against terrorism. Who's protecting Texans from our Republican Trump loyalists allowing Freedom to spread the virus?

This is not Freedom. This is hell. Nobody has the right to put others in danger. Freedom is having the choice to protect yourself, your employees, and everyone else you serve by refusing to accept people who are not taking precautions to stop the spread.
