That’s a big number. I’m tempted. I don’t think I’m going to pull the trigger on it yet, but if it goes much higher I might have to think about it.

I didn’t wait. I took the browns minus 12.5. The Browns are really good. I think they put win by at least 20

Man, this feels so much like the first few games of the Rockets season after the Harden ordeal....

Yup and it will be obvious/funny AND creepy when he goes to a ny team and all the sudden the rapey stuff is somehow cool...
How he's not like that, misunderstood, redemption etc at least with harden there was no rape.

Right, it’s “get him cheap” because of the allegations but when you get him it’s “not a big deal”
That’s also why women feel like they aren’t heard when it comes to these things.

Yeah Im curious to see how it plays out in court of public opinion.

It was funny when harden got to ny and all the sudden was this good passer and defender.

On Watson how does the redemption story work?
Some jail time and an apology?
    A settlement?

While I think he is a creeper I'm trying to understand what the timeframe or what before it's cool..
When would you forgive Cosby? What about Tyson? Is it ok that Tyson is acceptable since he served hard time?
What is the reasonable expectation of time? Do you forgive OJ? I don't but are they the same?

Thats why he probably would need to apologize and show some remorse.. or really kill it at the courthouse even then I will always think of him as a joke..even if he wins 15 super bowls..
    what's that smell?

Yeah man, it’s crazy to think of him in the same breath as Cosby or OJ. Tyson is probably more similar but even then he was accused of actual rape.
Regardless, it’s sad that powerful/rich men that do bad things either get off Scott free or do their “time” and it’s almost as if nothing happened
And you know fans/media are hypocrites, the moment he has a great game it’s gonna be a complete 180. Same as Harden like you said

When you frame in the vein of Cosby Tyson OJ its quite easy to say he's not as bad.
Tyson having paid his debt to society?

If you look at kobe maybe this is similar and in that sense watson has lots of room to improve his image.
You saw the Lakers and LA and pretty much everyone move on from that real quick as the titles came in.

Thinking of all of it that way.. perhaps this more like Kobe and less like OJ or Cosby and many will be ok with it? I bet so.. and even more so when he goes to a hyped market. For his image sake he needs to go to a market like LA or NY.

Right, they’re super hypocrites in those markets. As long as you win.
The flip side is do you think Kobe situation would have played out the same way if it happened in 2021?
It’s not that long but a lot has changed in the way people look at these situations.

    Or Roethlisberger, similar to Kobe.
I think they don’t become who they are if it happens in 2021.
Could just be naivety on my part and nothing has really changed

Really no matter what this sucks.
I liked Deshaun because I thought he was a good kid that could be the face of a franchise and win.
    Turns out he’s a turd.
Women will always be thought of as hoes by some when they are victims.
And to a much lesser extent, Texans fans are “victims” from incompetence from leadership (hopeful that’s changing) and lack of character from Watson

My cousin was at the Texans game last week. He said there was a lot of people, both men and women, wearing Watson jerseys.

The vast majority of fans don’t care.

I just don’t think that’s true, or hope it’s not true. Don’t know which

    Yeah good point..
Also Kobe was one where this is many.

I guess that puts him in the Tyson range but probably not the OJ and Cosby range.

I'm talking more about public opinion. Which can be brutal.

Tyson served time and that somehow and somewhat makes it less bad. He's redeemed in a sense.

I think in end if watson can get on to a propped up market and situation like the jets or giants he will get positive press.

All will be forgotten literally in no time we can come back to this thread and remember

It's a weird deal in that he is damaged goods here.

Watson can't here but he could elsewhere and it will be fine.
That's just the way it goes..
Unless he repents and apologizes lol

Sadly, it's true. Most people are absolute garbage, they wouldn't care if he sexually assaulted a million women so long as he's good at football.

Those same garbage ass people will turn on him the second he's no longer good at football and they'll pretend they never supported him.
