Corresponding move example... To Pelicans: Pat Beverley To Rockets: Tomas Satoransky (buyout) Wenyen Gabriel (non guaranteed - cut) #2 pick
CAVS: Ben Simmons, Seth Curry 76ERS: John Wall, Collin Sexton + Cavs 2023 FRP + Rockets 2024 FRP ROCKETS: Evan Mobley, Kevin Love
Gordon to Indy Lamb to Orlando Harris to Houston Wall & House for Bledsoe (buyout), Kennard (sniper we need), Zubac (3 team?) and Yogi
This would allow Rockets to develop young players AND continue the tank. WITH players that are complementary (Porter-Green-Mobley-Sengun or Porter-Green-Mobley-Wood), long, athletic AND with superstar upside.
Posted this in the Wall thread, but wanted to post it here to get anyone's opinion as to if they think this is a good trade for all teams involved; or why not for any particular team in this trade proposal: Houston In: Tobias Harris(Philly), Luke Kennard (Clips), M. Bagley III (Sac), Tyrese Maxey (Philly) Houston Out: John Wall, Eric Gordon, Danuel House, 1st round pick to Clippers Philly In: Buddy Heil (Sac), Eric Gordon (Hou), Eric Bledsoe (Clips), Serge Ibaka (Clips), Danuel House (Hou), 2 1st rd picks from Sac Philly Out: Ben Simmons, Tobias Harris, Tyrese Maxey Kings In: Ben Simmons Kings Out: Buddy Hield, M. Bagley III, 2 1st rd picks to Philly Clippers In: John Wall (Hou), 1st round pick from Houston Clippers Out: Eric Bledsoe, Luke Kennard, Serge Ibaka works in the ESPN trade machine: http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yjxnkyd6
That would be funny and amazing to acquire Mobley and Green after us Rockets fans had a blood bath war on which prospect to take.
Rockets: Out - Wall, Gordon, House, picks In - Bledsoe, Kennard, $35 M TPE Clippers: Out - Bledsoe, Kennard, Morris, Ibaka In - Wall, Gordon, House, picks (Hou), 2nd rd pick (Bos) Celtics - Out - 2nd round pick, TPE In - Morris, Ibaka (into TPEs)
I know it's fun to dreamcast and throw trades around but I wonder if anyone even factors in something called the CBA. At worst, run your trade through the ESPN trade machine just to see if it's even financially possible.
I think that's fantasy... Mobley on his rookie deal has more trade value than Simmons making a ton... With Sixers demanding picks and the cavs demanding picks (if Mobley) i don't see enough to go around...
To Sixers: Colin Sexton Eric Gordon Cedi Osman Danuel House (2) Top 5 protected #1 picks from Cleveland To Cavs: Ben Simmons Tyrese Maxey To Rockets: Ricky Rubio (buyout) #1 pick from Sixers (lottery protected) #2 pick from Cavs Sixers get a lot of shooting depth with Sexton/Gordon/House. They add 2 better picks losing their likely late first. Cavs get Simmons and Maxey with flexibility to start Maxey at PG and Simmons at 3 or bring Maxey off bench. Their core becomes Simmons, Garland, Okoro, Allen, and Mobley. Rockets get an expiring contract to buyout and pick up a late #1 and high #2 to use to trade up or flip for a player later... i would want the #2 soon and the #1 in a few years to stagger picks...
I like this, but there's no way the Cavs include Mobley. It works without him, so you could say have the Sixers send their 1st round pick, and the Cavs send a lotto protected first round pick to the Rockets instead.
