Give him the paint so he can pass open dunks? Cmon man. Him being scared to shoot doesnt have anything to do with how Philly misused him.
Simmons has a 4-year supermax deal left. For that amount of money I want a sure fire all star. Simmons isn’t it. He has too many flaws that you can’t win with him being the primary ballhandler. Sure he could be effective if you surround him with shooters, but it would not translate to team success because he takes the ball out of other players’ hands and ruin the spacing. His individual success comes at the expense of other players.
Wall and House for Simmons? Wall and Gordon to Clippers, Clippers first round pick and Zubac to Philadelphia, Simmons to Rockets?
??? Morey turned down Lotto pick and Malcom Brogdon for Wall and House? Cmon man. Philly is either gonna get better return or they are gonna play hard ball with Simmons.
Toronto has the best young players, but they are keeping the Young Talent. But Toronto is building the Young nucleus the right way. Clippers is the best destination for Ben Simmons, but the Clippers don't have any young talent to trade for, plus their picks are late 20s.
Why not make it a 3 team trade? I came up with this which gets us Wiseman, but I can't match the salaries without us getting Draymond too. http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yzfqyso2
Another 3 team trade, this time with the PHI and SAC since Simmons to SAC rumours are around. http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yewejxjg It gives us a reclamation project on Bagley
We are not trading for Simmons. Not unless we actually give away assets for a guy who’s so reluctant to improve his game and is talking about being a “socialite”. Dont **** with this young team. I’d take Wall’s leadership over Simmons with this young team
Now that the dust has settled - Simmons as a defensive specialist and secondary/tertiary ballhandler wouldnt be the worst. His size and ability to defend any position would help this team and he wouldnt have the pressure to produce points - this team will score in bunches with or without Simmons.
