CNN changes polling methods so Biden approval rate is now at 52%

Do people really decide whether they like the job a President is doing based on approval ratings (supposing the implication here is CNN is trying to boost support by inflating approval ratings)?

Switched from mostly phone to mostly online, don't know if thats good or bad, don't know jack shet about polling really.

Also, the title reads kind of funny, I think

That would be more accurate, right? With the way you currently have it, you're almost making an accusation that they changed it with the purpose of improving Biden's approval rate. The Os I know wouldn't make such assumptions without multiple peer-reviewed libertarian blog links to back it up with.

I'm confused a bit here, which one of those polls is CNN? Or are you saying the other polling media sources all use the "old method", surely they all use varied methods right?

 

not if its landline, which only old and/or rural people still have, all of whom vote MAGA.

also, i love how the trumpers are so gleeful about bidens falling poll numbers. sleepy joe is still polling higher than fatboy did for the vast majority of his term.

 

I think the other way around. But I think phone only is going to miss.

 

Joe is pretty popular with older Americans though, I feel like the internet has a strong populist alt-right stronghold, but none of our thoughts on any of this really matter, the devil is in the details of how they are actually conducting the polls.

 

If Max and Stephen are a-ok w/ the power ranking, then why should I care?

It's important to note that most polls have a margin of error of +/- 3%. This means that statistically, a 55% response rate in favor of Biden is actually the same as a 50% result.
