I will take back all the means things I've said about him if actually becomes a serviceable option out of the bullpen.
Wouldn't be surprised if they brought Raley back next season 3.31 FIP for the season not including tonight last 15 appearances 3.46 ERA, .92 WHIP vs lefties for the season 1.59 ERA, 0HR, .94 WHIP
Raley has really good stuff. BAA is pretty good, WHIP is good. 12.6 K per 9 innings in over 60 innings as an Astro; superstar begins at 13.0, doesn't it? Throw a rug over that ERA and you have a mighty fine looking pitcher.
Raley is like Pressly against LHB and is pretty bad against RHB. He can be a weapon but you have to be careful to avoid good RHBs when using him.
If we can get Altuve to accept that it’s ok not swinging for home runs and that base hits are good, then they can compete for a title.
Tomstro, assuming we win our division and get past the white Sox, who are you most afraid of in ALCS? Rays or hot wild card team?
I am not sure that you can assume that with our pitching staff. I would not want to face the Rays. We can’t hit their pitching.
In a single game, Ohtani's era went from 2.97 to 3.36, courtesy of the Houston Astros. https://www.espn.com/mlb/player/gamelog/_/id/39832/year/2021/category/pitching
