Let’s trade Cooks while we’re at it since he’s a high cost player on the roster when the team should be loading up the tanks!
Keep stacking draft capital, Nick. This season is a wash. We’ve known it since the beginning of the Deshaun “rap lyric tweets”. Get whatever you can. Cash in whoever you can. Save your biggest chip (Deshaun) til it goes up in value, and cash that bad boy in when it’s time.
Im fine with that. His praying ability may be deemed as invaluable though so he might be safe. Roby with his failed drug test may not be "Texan Material" (whatever that is supposed to be! LOL) Start the firesale now! Im cool with it. Kayvon here we come!!
That was one of the better ones. If we go back to the making of that contract, we were like hell yeah! Bargain. But then the Dhop trade followed. womp womp.
No word on compensation? In Texans tradition, I'm going to guess it's a conditional sixth rounder. My brain says it should be a second or third though.
I don't think that the Texans will get much at all. The Texans are going to be playing for the #1 pick.... and likely a QB at #1 (Let's hope there is a really good one available.... although they are mostly Meh right now). If the Texans have a QB from the draft, it will be easier for McNair to move Watson for less than what the fans think he is worth.
PFF has him ranked as the 24th best CB in football. Has to be worth a decent return. Going with a 3rd. 24. Bradley Roby, Houston Texans The Texans don’t have many players on their roster who they can rely on for steady play, but Roby is one of the few, assuming he doesn’t receive another six-game suspension in 2021. He ranks in the 80th percentile of qualifying cornerbacks in forced incompletion rate and the 70th percentile in coverage grade while in single coverage since entering the league in 2014. His 71.5 overall grade in 2020 was his highest single-season mark since back in 2017 with the Broncos. https://www.battleredblog.com/2021/...l-focus-ranks-the-32-best-outside-cornerbacks
This will be a rough 20 years for the Texans. I'm giving them 20 years to fall into the lap of another franchise QB .. because they are a dumb AF front office.
You can use that 3rd with a 2nd to move back into the 1st. Imagine getting 1-1 and two 1sts for DW4 then using a 3rd to trade back into the 1st using a 2nd and a 3rd. Rd.1 Stingley Rd.1 Leal Rd.1 Strong Rd.1 Kendrick Yeah, this would make for a very bright future.
David Johnson trade Laremy Tunsil trade Gareon Conley trade Duke Johnson trade Jadeveon Clowney trade DeMaryius Thomas trade Randall Cobb Nick Martin Zach Fulton Benardrick McKinney Brandon Dunn Whitney Mercilus Eric Murray Aaron Colvin Tashaun Gipson Senio Kelemete Johnson Bademosi Angelo Blackson Jeff Allen Tony Bergstrom Brock Osweiler Garrett Graham But sure Brian! Go off on Bradley Roby Brian!
I could see Cooks and maybe even Tunsil being traded at the deadline to a contender that has suffered injuries at those positions.
