History channel has the miniseries on rightnow. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend that you turn it on. CK
I got a chance to watch the complete series on DVD not too long ago. I agree that it is tremendously well done and highly recommended. Also, the fact that I watched it while on Basic Training with a bunch of fellow officer cadets added a whole new dimension to the experience.
im i few months behind, but just got around to watching this series. war is horrible. i always thought that war now is easier cus a bullet kills you much quicker than a sword or spear... but dammm..
Looked up the original BoB’s thread to bump, but it also had only 1 page of replies. I first thought, wow, I guess not many on CFnet had HBO backed then. then realized that thread was posted on 9/10/2001 ... so https://bbs.clutchfans.net/threads/band-of-brothers.21765/
One of the best series ever made, I haven't rewatched it in a while, maybe it's time to give it another go.
would've bumped that one had i known. most of the posters in that thread haven't been active in 12 years.
Have it on Blu-ray. One of the best shows I have ever seen. HBOmax makes some of the best shows. True detectives, Rome, game of thrones, etc. Its no wonder why some soldiers rather have other soldiers as family members. Going to war together and going through all of that and coming back. Only another soldier can comprehend the devastation mentally and physically.
Here's the next one: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masters_of_the_Air eta: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eighth_Air_Force#World_War_II_(1944–1945) I hope they next do the Navy in the Pacific some justice for the 4th one.
I do blame myself, I was literally just saying somewhere else I refuse to give Apple money in a conversation about Ted Lasso and then came here and saw your post.
