Unfortunately that's because we're no threat. People hate champions because they eliminate their teams. Nobody has time to waste hating Sacramento and Cleveland, instead they prop up their rooks and the like simply on potential. People actually loved Harden the first couple years in Houston, but once we became a threat they hated us.

Yao under Rudy would have been more creative than Yao under Van Gundy. JVG helped run Yao into the ground.
