Indigenous people have been actively engaged in a multidimensional struggle for equality, since time immemorial. we strive for historical-cultural recognition and acknowledgment of colonial oppression that persistently devalues the diversity of our unique cultural heritages. Language itself uses symbols of hierarchy to express thoughts. Perhaps in this spirit we should also refrain from all forms of communication?
Professors with pet issues is what keeps OS up at night. Not the military industrial complex. Not increasing wealth inequality. Not climate change but some random professor with some pet issues. Is that what privilege looks like. I think you'll survive OS. You'll still be able to capitalize your words as you see fit. It's okay.
Her use of lowercase distracts from the message. I get the sentiment but it backfires. Colonialism and Imperialisms is race (nationality)-prioritizing by design. I don't think any educated person would argue.
