When do you end the cycle, OP? Every time you start to look good, you trade everyone good and go back to the start?

Correct, they own 2024 and 2026 that are both top 4 protected and have the pick swap in 2025 top 20 protected. My guess is pick swap doesn't happen and we don't want to suck in 2024 and 2026.

Rockets saving MLE on buyout market or waived player in preseason.

Go ahead and sign Meyers Leonard to non guaranteed contract at vet minimum.
29 years old, 7'0" that can play that Olynyk role of last season.

So he apologizes to all of those he offended in a press conference, again.
Jews, Whites, Blacks, Hispanics, women, China......everyone. Morey is still around.

Patrick Patterson might still be out there for vet min

I think the Rockets should be very frank with Wood if they have any hesitation in backing up the brinks truck for him after the 22/23 season. I think they ask him where his preferred destinations are and try to get him there (assuming the return is fair market value). Wood may very well not line up with this team's window and so it makes sense to shop him. HOWEVER, it will not be long before the Rockets become buyers and it is very helpful to have a positive rep for accommodating players when you're trying to sign free agents.

it's kind of funny everyone here wants wall traded but I don't , here's why and I'm probably the only person that wants wall on the team

I hope they keep wall the next two years..I was completely wrong to suggest releasing or buyout or trade ,for one simple reason that I NEVER thought off.....

Yes of course I will be luv more playing time for Kevin Porter and have Wall off the team but.......

A poster pointed out to me that it's good we have wall on the team taking up all that cap space because if we didn't ,Tillman would most likely have the urge to waste that money on average vet to try to win now to put people in the seats

And that is the last thing we need to do

Number one I don't want to win more games because we still need to tank another season so i don't want more vets on the team to help us win games

Number two we need that cap space saved up for the next 3 years with wall so that we can pay our rookies when their contracts run out all the same time

So, ironically having wall is a good thing not a crutch like all of us think it is

Plus he is a really bad efficient player and will help us lose games for the lottery

    I like the stradegy of pg-wall, sg-porter, sf-green

Green and Porter get experience and we will lose with wall meaning a better draft pick 2022

We have two or three picks In the first round again 2022 I think we are bullseye that with possible wood as trade bait, and get either banchero, wambayama,Chet,Bates

Atleast I hope that's the plan.. making the playoffs as a 8th seed or play-in would be the WORST possible scenario(unless we make it to second round, then I'll eat crow)

    Terrible idea.

The Sixers and Celtics tanked for talent for a decade and they're no closer to a title than we are. OKC is the same way. So are the Wolves and Kings.

You know who is? Teams like the Bucks and the Heat... who build a core of plus defenders and unselfish players.

Your all's obsession with tanking like this is ****ing NBA2k or some stupid **** is exhausting.

We don't want to offer a max deal to a guy still 3-4 years from his prime?

    Bold strategy, Cotton.

blah blah blah. The next two drafts are unbelievably deep at the top...

Every set of circumstances is different for every team. I don’t wanna do this for 10 years, I want to focus on it this year and probably next year even though that pick is protected.

Now that Wall is leaving, I’m cool with him staying..... I hope that he takes another giant step next year but I doubt it.
I just don’t see him as a max contract player for us in the next two years and if that’s the case he’s prolly leaving and not part of the long run... Considering that were already trying to tank-
I just think he brings more value as draft Compensation - which also drops us to the bottom of the league certainly.

We just had a great draft and I’m so excited for the season to start. Let’s see the young guns!!!

    THANK YOU!
and forget the poor souls, its just a disease of perfectionism, just one of many symptoms of the tanking syndrome
