    It's embarrassing..... only the tabloids will run with the Hunter Biden story.

    WSJ retracted their laptop story, but back then it was a blind computer repair guy who got in touch with Rudy.....

    I don't recall any "intel experts" ever saying that there was no possibility that some if not all of the "Hunter's Laptop" data was legitimate. However the important part of the story here was that this DEFINITELY looks like a Russian disinformation campaign.... very similar to John Podesta's Wikileak dump.

    The question about authenticity really comes down to someone.... well... like you. You know that it's 99% likely that this was the product of Russian or another similar country that is anti-democracy like Saudi Arabia. So why do you believe it to be 100% true, and why does it carry so much authentic weight in your mind? You know the intent of the entity that hacked his emails. Do you think that the Russian's are so dedicated to the truth that they would not alter Hunter's emails? Why are you so trusting of Russians?

    This story, and the reaction to it by people like yourself just says more about consumers of right wing propaganda that they know is coming from anti-democracy enemies of America than it does Hunter Biden. The fact that folks like yourself treat the Russians the same way Americans treat Bob Woodward is pretty troubling.

    POLITICO Playbook: Double trouble for Biden - POLITICO


    FIRST IN PLAYBOOK — Ben Schreckinger’s “The Bidens: Inside the First Family’s Fifty-Year Rise to Power,” out today, finds evidence that some of the purported HUNTER BIDEN laptop material is genuine, including two emails at the center of last October’s controversy.

    A person who had independent access to Hunter Biden’s emails confirmed he did receive a 2015 email from a Ukrainian businessman thanking him for the chance to meet Joe Biden. The same goes for a 2017 email in which a proposed equity breakdown of a venture with Chinese energy executives includes the line, “10 held by H for the big guy?” (This person recalled seeing both emails, but was not in a position to compare the leaked emails word-for-word to the originals.)

    MORE: Emails released by a Swedish government agency also match emails in the leaked cache, and two people who corresponded with Hunter Biden confirmed emails from the cache were genuine.

    While the leak contains genuine files, it remains possible that fake material has been slipped in.
