Went to WalMart last week and the aisles that are for seasonal near the registers were a combination of summer pool stuff/camping gear, back to school supplies, and fall decor.

Late August/Labor Day is definitely a blend of seasons despite it being like 100 degrees outside.

Have to get the stuff out in the store and ready to buy before day 1. What's weird though is Hobby Lobby was putting Christmas out back in July. I've heard of Christmas in July but come on. Do they really need 5 months to sell it all?

Hobby Lobby sells stuff to people that make stuff and then sell it at jacked up prices. Got to give people time to glue two things together so they can start selling "homemade" Christmas stuff in October.

Do you really expect stores to leave large sections of shelving sitting empty? Summer seasonal and Back to School promotions are winding down and are not being replenished.

Columbus Day is October 11, 2021 and that just isn't enough of an event to promote. Halloween is the next major promotional event after Summer & Back to School.

Expect other retailers to be transitioning as well. Other than doves I think that it is still early for hunting (deer, duck, goose). Yet Academy has or is about to transition from Summer to Hunting merchandising.

Stores that are selling Summer items such as fans and window unit air conditioners have or are about to start condensing the space allocated for those items to make space for Fall & Winter items.
