Its so cringe watching all these MAGA tribalists trying to paint this as some sort of disaster. The bottom line is we needed to be out of there and it was always going to be messy. Biden did what needed to be done and we are better for it in the long run.
Well in fairness, it does look like he starts to check his watch, and then stops himself before he actually completes it. Biden's handling of the withdrawal has been defensive and not a great look. He's rough around the edges and yeah talking about his son is pretty lame. Thats said, the standard of what people accept as presidential is Trump now. And by that standard, Biden is a YUGE improvement. You can't excuse Trump and then be critical of Biden when he does the same **** to a lesser degree.

Probably to drive home the point that many of the family members mourning these 13 felt disrespected by Biden's manner during a ceremony meant to honor the sacrifice these men and women and their families gave. I watched 2 fathers of 2 of the 13 last night interviewed expressing their outrage and anger at Biden's focus on his own son when meeting them (instead of focusing on their loss) and by their count him checking his watch at least 4 times during the transfer ceremony. Making a big deal out of the photo used is deflecting from the real issue IMHO.
Some additional insight into how we got here. I still believe Biden dropped the ball, but let’s not pretend he hasn’t been wading through an unholy mess that’s accumulated over 3 administrations.
I never said I criticized Trump for what he said about POWs and Gold Star Mothers, I said if he said such things then shame on him, he is just as bad as Biden in that regard then. I said I was critical of Biden of what he is doing now. You say you are not a deflector but you can't help yourself from bringing up DJT every time Biden effs up. It's ok to ridicule Biden and just leave it at that, he is the current President isn't he? This is like the Yankees fans chanting "f*** Altuve!" when the Rays are blowing them out by 10 runs. Also, there is this aura of smugness that just because somebody voted for Trump means they don't have standing to ridicule Biden now. As an American citizen and voter, anybody can ridicule any Prez, past, present, and future.
