Yeah, I can see an entity outside of Austin, but within Travis county, being more enthusiastic about it. I'm remembering the debate around Q2 Stadium and envisioning it being much more combative if public funds were involved. I can easily see Casar, Pool, Alter, Kitchen and Tovo, plus whoever represents the stadium's district (which ended up being Pool for Q2) being opposed to any use of public funds for a stadium.
With very good reason. I would also be opposed of it. I'm tired of funding **** so people outside city limits can benefit without paying. It should be a county push in order to distribute the tax burden fairly across the county since it will benefit everyone.
