Just rewatched it last night, dear god it's still a masterpiece. Best Mobster movie ever. The Godfather is good but slow and kinda boring? I mean it came out in the 70s when movies was just starting to become good. Part 2 is better, never seen the third one.

    Well said, Gene and Roger.

Godfather I and II is one amazing movie in 2 parts. Goodfellas is one of the most rewatchable movies ever.

It's like arguing if you'd rather have a blowjob from Playboy Miss August or Playboy Miss June.

I prefer Goodfellas. Love GF 1 and 2 (didn’t really like 3 but haven’t watched it in like 15 years).

Godfather led to there being a Goodfellas led to there being a Sopranos.

One does not exist without the others. They are all untouchable.

I would put Goodfellas at #3, behind the two Godfather films. Goodfellas is a great movie. It's the acting in the Godfather films that puts them ahead, in my opinion. Simply superb acting by several incredible actors.

The problem I have is deciding which Godfather flick I prefer. I lean towards part two, for sure, but it makes me feel a little guilty. Brando, Pacino, and Caan, to mention a few, were amazing. Pacino and Caan, in my opinion, giving career performances.

I also think Goodfellas is the best of the mob movies. Donnie Brasco is another one I always enjoy. They are both based on actual events, which adds to the awe.

I would like to offer relevant mob movie advice: never watch Miller’s Crossing while on a serious dose of acid.

Gotta break 'em down into categories:

    Mob movies

    Gangster movies

    Heist movies

    Caper movies

Goodfellas is fantastic but Godfather 1 and 2 are the pinnacle of movie making. I always preferred the first one if forced to choose.
