[Marvel TV] What If...?

I was the same way about Marvel until I discovered that I'm a huge fan of talking trees. Now I'm hooked. I'll do lines of crappy Marvel TV shows for breakfast.

 

Loved the premise years ago and read through all of their series. Its lightheaded fun.

 

Still have not gotten around to watching ep 2. The first episode just didn't grab me. I hope the 2nd is better, but the concept doesn't seem very interesting. Monsters at Work was more entertaining.

was the episode any good? I haven’t watched any of them yet. Debating on cancelling Disney+.

 

i mean... i think all 3 episodes have been very forgetful tbh. the fact that the series only show a sneak peak of a "what if" world isn't exciting, despite all the call backs to previous movies. they should really do long episodes that are like 60-70 minutes each to really get deeper. people canceling disney+ is understandable.

 

What if... Marvel didn't cancel Avengers: EMH?

It would have loved to watch that animated show than this one.

 

They aren't good enough to keep your subscription if you aren't watching anything else.

 

Today's episode as okay. Honestly making this a 30 minute fare don't provide enough substance. If it were an hour I think it would have been better.

 

Yeah that was my main issue. They have all the resources of Disney and they are consistently putting out these short episodes. It would seem to be even more important to put out hour long episodes for the What If concept but they are just jamming things in under 30 minutes.

Meh.

 

Hands down the best animated Marvel show. So epic. Can't believe they cancelled it for the garbage that has come out since.

 

I liked the 1st two episodes, but this last one just didn't have anything.

 

I actually thought this was a pretty good episode. I didn't see the "bad guy" coming and the ending was kind of a surprise. Thought it was better than the first two.

 

Agreed they finally made a dark What If? much more similar to the comics, and I wasn’t able to guess the villain or see the ending come from a mile away.

overall it's been a c-. thought having done wanda and loki, they'd come shooting outta the game with this one. still think the 30-minute time is what's holding these series back.

 

Reminds me of Tales From the Crypt. I think that was 30 mins too.

Series would get a lift if Watcher did the cryptkeeper post monologues...

 

Episode 4 was on another level!
