Over 70% of Americans are happy we are pulling out - it was going to be messy no matter what, the GOP is just desperate to change the narrative away from Jan 6th and their attempt at overthrowing democracy.

Biden Is Getting Nearly 1,000 People An Hour Out Of Afghanistan evacuation of approximately 82,300 people so far.

biden administrations incompetence regarding afghanistan withdrawal vs. reagan administration willingly selling weapons to iran (in violation of an arms embargo) and using that money to fund terrorism in latin america and then lying to the american people about it. which one is worse again?

also, do you hold trump accountable for any of the disaster that is currently playing out? did you have any criticism for his handling of afghanistan while he was president? what about the previous presidents including george w. bush?

I hold ALL of them responsible in one way or another from Reagan to Bush to Obama to Trump to Somewhat Biden...

For Biden he did the one thing the others didn't do.. He got the Troops out..

For the accountability on the somewhat I have questions...
    1. What were all the options on the table for the bug out?
    2. Were workers and civilians notified about the bug out?

    Strawman and distraction.

This isn't about pulling out. It's about how it is being handled.

Also this is not about the GOP. Also Jan 6 was a protest. You're over reacting as always.

Also that number is not specific to the issue of AMERICANS who are stranded there at the hands of a murderous regime.

You get all your facts from Jen Nutsacky and CNN I know but you gotta stop sharing your propaganda BS with others.

apparently they didn't get the memo not to use the word "stranded"

"San Diego County students, parents stranded in Afghanistan":

    https://www.sandiegouniontribune.co...alley-school-district-stranded-in-afghanistan

    excerpt:

    EL CAJON —

At least two dozen San Diego County students and 16 parents are stranded in Afghanistan, unable to get to the airport in Kabul after a summer trip to visit relatives.

The families from the Cajon Valley Union School District in East County are among thousands of individuals waiting to leave the country that has devolved into chaos amid the U.S. pullout of troops after 20 years of occupation.

Cajon Valley Superintendent David Miyashiro and Mike Serban, the district’s director of Family And Community Engagement (FACE), said the children range from preschoolers to high school students. They said the students went there on summer break with their families to visit extended family members.

“We have a long summer break, and nobody knew the extent of what was going to happen, nobody knew what was coming,” Serban said. “Their extended family is in Afghanistan, and they wanted to see their family. They went back, likely before the troops left, so they could say hello or goodbye one more time. What wouldn’t you do to go see your family one more time, let alone know you have only a window of time to go see them?”

The U.S. government is accelerating efforts to rescue Americans as the Taliban militants who once ruled the country take control. The military is conducting evacuations outside the airport, but it’s unclear how far they are traveling.

Miyashiro told school district board members via text message on Tuesday that he and other Cajon Valley staff met virtually with Rep. Darrell Issa and his staff about the situation.

Miyashiro said that the families involved are on special Visas for U.S. military service and that the Department of Defense considers them “allies.” He said the district was able to provide information on the families and that government officials are working to locate the children and their families. He said he was encouraged by the help.

He said the 24 missing students attend different schools in the district. He said he didn’t want to offer any other details, such as their names or the provinces they visited, because it might put the families in danger.

Serban works with the district’s many refugee families and provides translators, and he was the one who first got word about the students’ plight.

Serban and others who work with FACE as translators and liaisons for families in the district heard first on Aug. 16 that a family expressed concern their student would lose a seat in the classroom. Then another family reached out with the same fear, then another.

He said at that point, Serban reached out to Miyashiro and others to let them know there was an issue with many children attending Cajon Valley schools who were not able to get back to the United States.

Serban said that the district is in touch with family members of those who are still in Afghanistan, working to relay pertinent family information from the U.S. to Afghanistan and vice versa.

“We’re working with our government officials to do the best job possible to get their families home,” Serban said. “We send our thoughts and well wishes to them, and doing anything we can do to support them 100 percent and be there for them to the best of our ability.”

How stupid do the school administrators have to be to send students to Afghanistan this summer? The parents are morons as well. The American force is suppose to pull out by May or August, and these "adults" do not know what will happen?

No wonder we have so many students that are failing in schools, they are taught by people with no common sense.

We have people drinking bleach, or putting medicine for cows in their bodies to avoid taking a safe vaccine, we have about 30% of our country that is flat out stupid.

my understanding is that this is not a school-sponsored trip, the district is simply trying to help get students and families out. From many different schools and had been visiting family in many different locations in Afghanistan

    as reported elsewhere:

...what's funny is that if those seditious idiots held their "protest" on January 5th or on January 7th...they might have had a point about the whole thing not being about trying to violently install an illegitimate president.

...er...other than the points on top of their heads, I mean.;)
