My worst fear is that Jalen Green will be more distracted by life outside of basketball

My biggest fear is the GARM being over run by the same people after every loss talking about JG should not have been partying but stayed at the gym 14 hours a day when they themselves can barely make it through an 8 hour shift at work...

...who am I kidding? It's going to happen regardless.

The guy is sour about not being drafted at No.1, keeps repeating how he is the best in the draft class and will win ROY. Seems like a legit goal/drive when it comes to basketball, for now. Outside of basketball is literally a pointless conversation because no one will be able to control that other than the player themselves.

    People are dumb af.

Harden was that good because he allowed himself to enjoy life and decompress. I highly doubt Harden would be even more efficient if he spent more time in the gym and less time in the club.

In fact, I think if Harden used 'club time' as 'gym time,' I think he'd either burn out, increase his chance for injury, or both.

Unless you grab a euro superstar who grew up in poverty then they will likely be buying useless things.

It did concern me that JG keeps repeating how he hates being in a boring environment, clearly he is more like Harden in terms of what he wants to do in his off time rather than a Jokic, who rides horses at his ranch (super weird comparison, I know).

At this point it's all too early to tell because I'd assume most people wouldn't care what he does with his money or off-time as long as he turns into a superstar. If he becomes a bust, then yes people are going to be outraged.

    THIS.

I mean, in the Philippines he is nicknamed IDOL. Imagine having that name at 16? He has handled his "fame" well at a VERY early age and still maintained the work ethic. In fact, it is BECAUSE of this that I was more in favor of Green. Just knowing he has DELT with all of this and STILL maintained his edge. His work ethic wins out. His competitiveness to want to be great wins out.

Harden had a lot of off court distractions. He still did his work. This is not "binary." People can do different things to let of steam.
