No doubt both are their own man but I think the Texans assumption was that DW4 was a Choir Boy with a stellar image but D-Hop was a bad influence, so they traded him. Similar to how they traded DJ Swearinger

What makes sense is that BoB and the Texans have a long history of getting rid of people for pennies on the dollar because they are annoyed with them. BoB was running things and he has no perception of value - one he wants you gone, he'll trade you for anything. The Clowney trade was nearly as bad - they paid half his salary and got a 3rd round pick to get rid of him, when they could have paid nothing if he held out, paid his salary if his played for a year, and STILL gotten a 3rd round pick out of it when he left. This is not one-off stupidity on BoB's part.

Exactly! It showed during the Clowney trade that B O'B had a RUSH to get rid of someone, rather than wait and get thr best deal.

Or in the case of JD, destroy value by waiting too long to trade him leaving the team trading for him no ability to negotiate a long-term deal.

Right - but there's no ulterior motive to help the team or help a player or anything like that. It's just BoB being rash and petty. There doesn't need to be a hidden motive or bigger story here. He traded Hopkins because he didn't like him - not in some grand plan to try to save Watson.

On the contrary. I believe B O'B traded Hop the same reason why he traded DJ Swearinger, he wanted to get Swearinger away from Clowney and he wanted to get Hop away from Deshaun.

If you listen to the rumors, he never liked Hop because Hop didn't practice but he rushed to trade Hop after the team supposedly had them followed.

Go back and listen to B O'B's press conference after he traded Hop.....everything was about the T.E.A.M

Go back and READ what I've been saying! I am in no way defending B O'B.....that's crazy! Lol

I said he traded D-HOP in the same manor in which he traded DJ Swearinger.

To make it clear, the Texans knew what was going on with Deshaun before all of the news broke this yr, they felt D-Hop was somehow connected or had a heavy influence over him since him and Deshaun were close (D-Hop had several Baby Mommas, etc.), so let's trade him and because B O'B already did not like D-Hop, he rushed and made the worse trade in NFL HISTORY!

Janice told BOB to takeout the trash.

BOB was the trashman, nothing more or less.

The Herschel Walker trade is the worst trade in NFL history.

If so, he certainly didn't have a problem with it.

The Clint Longley for the 2nd pick in the draft, that turned into Dorset was really bad too.

Watson was a model citizen when DHop was here. Bill sabotaged watson by trading his alibi.

Lol. Deshaun is a grown man. Nuk isn't responsible for him being a sexual predator. O'Brien was just a shitty coach and an even worse GM. There's nothing more to it then that

I'm a Watson fan but I don't think this started last year after D-Hop left. There were rumors circulating that the Texans were having players followed when Easterby came into the fold.

I think they found out and came to the conclusion that the best way to handle it, is to separate them.
