Garuba needs to watch a lot of film of NBA and of his play in the summer league. He's got the skills but he is getting too close to some of these guards, and is trying to much to steal at times. If he slides his feet and just plays good, physical stay in front defense combined with strong team defense I can actually see a top defensive player in there. He's just not there fundamentally at all yet, which is a bit of a surprise. But i guess the overseas game, while still good and fun, is in a slower, more physical style, so he can get up on slower guards, body them more, stuff like that. In the NBA those guys are going to blow by you. They might not have the skills of the euros, but they have them on athleticism...
