I think this is good value as Embiid's knees should still be good for 4 more years. After that is anybody's guess lol
I think it's great seeing stars stay with their teams . . . now that LeBron is old and decrepit that is
The GM is Elton Brand. He was a big and like postup. Daryl is president and is hand off in his managerial approach. (sarcasm wink)
“This contract is fully guaranteed and includes a player option for the final year, sources said, but does not include the same provisions protecting the Sixers in case of catastrophic injury to Embiid's lower back or feet, like the five-year, $147.7 million deal he signed in 2017.” 2021-22: $31,579,390 (Age 27) 2022-23: $33,616,770 (28) 2023-24: $43.73M (29) 2024-25: $47.23M (30) 2025-26: $50.72M (31) 2026-27: $54.22M (Player Option) (32)
Phony! Scientists have paid with their lives and not betrayed their science. This pathetic phony sold his theory for a measly job... ... oooor maybe there was never good science there, just fancy lingo and numbers that don't work, especially not in playoffs? Could it be?
If Embid does not mature this coming season they will be in a lot of trouble going forward. Watching him in those last two games vs ATL he looked awful. Taking terrible shots down the stretch contributing to the series loss. I know Ben didn't help, but it was on Embid to step up and dominate that game. ATL had no answer for him, he bailed them out with his bad decisions. Im just imagining them losing the same way again and again and by the time that deal kicks in Brooklyn, Atl, Bos, and Mia are above them and they are paying him massive money and getting knocked out in the first round consistently and are unable to bring in real help due to his contract. Oh wait, with Morey there that sounds very familiar to him haha
Injuries will pile up the older he gets, especially for bigs with injury history. Usually in the foot and leg area. If they move Simmons, will the get someone significant back or does it put more pressure on Embiid?
Sure, that's a given. But if he gives his life to Christ, I foresee no injuries. @Jontro knows about this.
