Honestly, I doubt you have played ball more than anyone because anyone who’s been on a court regularly knows what happens when you tell “that” guy to just just do what he’s told. Maybe when he has better teammates, but in the summer league after killing the g-league already, I want him to do his best Kobe impression. Regarding Hakeem, everyone here knows the history of him learning about double teams, if you know you know bro.
Maybe but still disappointing he looked out of sorts compared to other rooks without international exp.
so testing waters , fosters and getting them reps is more important than getting reps for and experimenting with SENGOD perhaps the best player in this draft? yeah right!
your Sengod is no Jokic. work on his 3 and jumper first. LOL "let's use the summer league to develop Sengun into Jokic"
It’s been really a couple SL games, Sengun is without a doubt the best player on the court when Green isn’t there, and close to Green when he is. He is the future, not Christopher
yeah and he was used properly the first 3 games. people are complaining about the last game. 1 SL game. and he is the future he'll be playing with the team not sent to the g-league so nothing to worry about there's nothing wrong for the coaching to staff to have as many looks on JC to see if he should be sent down to G-League or not
First two games he was used somewhat properly, still not enough touches. 3rd and 4th game was the JC show.
o yeah lets use SL to make a player out of justin anderson and waters the scrub lololool you can playmake without having a perfect 3pt shot or a perfect jumper and sengun proved it already! he did great whenever the selfish gang gave him the ball
Not sure he’ll get that many touches in camp and regular season, he is still a rookie. There’s an argument that JC will get more touches by being the guy in G league. Regardless, JC got more than his fair share. Sengun should have gotten more than JC
everyone has seen enough of Sengun to confidently say he's legit the future with our thin front court of wood and theiss, there should be no reason for sengun not to get 20 mins a game in a rebuld mode team.
yeah coachin staff should have called plays for Sengun. they were absolutely sure they'll keep Sengun for the season's roster that's final. so they prioritized finalizing who they were either cutting or sending to the gleague. they still should have given Sengun different looks. hopefully they do that during training camp and pre season.
It's just Summer league fellas, it's just 'evaluational'. A bunch of young guys thrown together without much practice time, a lot that have no shot at the NBA, all trying to showcase themselves, if not for the NBA for other leagues around the world. Like the old baseball saying goes " you don't walk off the island" all theses guys were pressing to make an impression
