We didn't even get into Justin Anderson. He looks just as bad as Waters. We have pretty darn bad older guys on this team. Nothing good ever happens if they have the ball. Foster, Anderson, Waters all don't even belong into the SL.
Any highlights? I didn't want to watch JC chucking again so I'm hoping for a quick set of highlights before going to bed.
Instead of constantly saying "GIMME THAT ****" to the opponents, he should sometimes say it to his teammates.
He was in the running to be a head coach when Silas was... he should take every head coaching run as a possible showcasing for himself... yup that means even summer league.
It does dawn on me that Sengun and Garuba have been playing with more skilled professional teammates than the ones they have now. The athleticism all around them has stepped up and that will require a huge adjustment. But both are just not used to playing with guys who are clueless. Between that and the language barrier, that's a lot.
I mean, he did go from (probably) speaking Spanish with a set of teammates he's known for a long time and playing for a chance to medal in the Olympics, to barely understanding English with a set of complete scrubs that are all out for themselves. Also, all those obstacles combined with jet lag? Rough.
I mean they are simple things. How hard is it to tell Josh to give the ball to AS and move off the ball? not hard.
Garuba speaks English, too. I think it's just he's playing in an unfamiliar league with unfamiliar players who are also learning how to play in a summer league with very little structure. It's basically a circus out there. That, and he's not an offensive player, so all his highlights are probably going to be on the defensive end.
We signed a point guard who plays like he just stepped off the concrete court at my park. Horrible. I normally look for good stuff, but sweet Jesus that was ugly. Sengun could have had 30 if we had used him. JC is a turnover machine, but his midrange game is nice. We should have been feeding Sengun and Lamb when he couldn't miss, but we instead played run, dribble, dribble and gun. Weaver should have shut that sh-t down. Oh, the announcers seemed fixed on Orlando. Damn, no respect.
