There is a few holes in your logic. First off the 16th pick is not a Lottery pick. 2nd, nobody knows what the the 2 picks we traded will be worth. I agree with trading them, but to say they will never be worth much as if it's a certainty isn't accurate. It's just as likely that those picks are better than any of the picks we got from Brooklyn. 3rd, how could Presti have ended up with Green? The best alternate reality player they could have is Suggs, at the 5th pick because that is when they have the right to take our pick.
crazy that was a legit possibility for them. though I guess they never would have ended up with Sengun as that was an actual option for them and they passed on it.
I agree that Sengun is better defender than Wood. But Wood's defense improved by leaps and bounds as season progressed.
This dude reminds me of Shaun Livingston. Every time he jumps I cringe, afraid that his legs might break.
Did I say that's what the Rockets said? No. Find a way to up your reading comprehension skills before you start being an *******.
I was always impressed by Jokic endurance in the playoffs. I remember in 2019 he played like over 50 minutes in a triple overtime game. I'm honestly sold on him as a playoff performer. I think they're main problem was injuries rather than jokic's sub par defense.
I think I made a mistake saying "he can't play defense" which is what triggered everyone in this thread. He has a big body and can be a rebounding machine, and can wall off players. However, speed and ISO strategies kill big men in a 7 game series. Look no further than the Jazz vs Yao Ming, or ironically the Jazz with Gobert. Or more extreme examples like Enes Kanter and Ryan Anderson. I personally would love big men like Gobert and Jokic on rosters if they didn't take up such a large % of the cap. Teams need flexibility in a series and by nature a supermassive contract prohibits that unless you can hedge an expensive Gobert/Jokic with a bargain lateral defensive wing/PF. It's the same problem for LIllard, early career Harden, and guards who can be targeted. Anyways, I really like what I've seen from Sengun and let's enjoy him before he hits the max.
Alperen would have severely punished Clippers for going small! Are you now against Big men in general? what about embiid?
