People are always complaining that the rockets don't have any shooters...

Well, this guy can shoot. And he does some other things ok.

He's worth trying to develop. If he can rebound a little and not be a complete turnstile on defense he may be an ok player to have on the bench.

I actually wished they'd have played him more in summer league when Jalen was healthy to open the offense up some out there. There wasn't really a lot of space because most of the time he was out there playing with 3 or 4 guys who can't really shoot.

    ... but he's shooting 60% on his 3's

I mean, it's only a 3/5 shooting sample, but shooting like crap? Like why make this post when you have no idea lol

Reminds me of a buddy of mine who during one of our playoff runs started screaming about how he swore he’d never seen Capela cleanly block a shot. He literally had 3 blocks in that game.

It only takes one missed 3 or one missed play for some people to make up their minds about a player, sometimes unknowingly.

Matthew Hurt I think will go to Rio Grande Vipers to develop his game and body.

Josh Christopher needs to learn the Point Guard position even more.
He can definitely play the Point Guard, I think he needs to develop his 3 point shot, and there is no minutes for him on the Rockets.
Behind John Wall, Eric Gordon, Jalen Green, Kevin Porter Jr.

Once John Wall, Eric Gordon, Danuel House are traded, there will be minutes for him and Josh will be called up and Play 6th Man, Backup Point Guard.

Let's hope that the Rockets are thinking the same way as you are.

I agree with this post. Both Josh and Hurt will start in RGV and will probably stay there (barring injuries or trades) for most of the season. I love JC’s defense, but his passing and chucker mentality will need to change to be a solid nba guard. I doubt Hurt will stick in the NBA long term, but it is worth a shot. He has a great shot and is tall, but man is he timid.

Well hey! Brian the legend Cook shot over 40% from three for 2 seasons for the Lakers with regular minutes so id say that's better than Wiltjer and Novak.

Nah, Novak had a two year run with the Knicks where he made more threes than Cook did his entire career. They both played a long time though.

We need to keep this guy on the roster, because sometimes Sengun needs a breather. And it’s vital that we have somebody with bad facial hair on the court at all times.

If Matthew Hurt can get stronger and faster. He can be a dangerous 3 point shooter.

Lateral defense, Switch defense, Rebounding, Shot Blocking. Those are the areas he should focus on.

Duncan Robinson should be the one he should follow.

At any rate it's another irrelevant tall white guy who will be mercilessly targeted in ISO.

Maybe he can hit a game winner against the Kings.

He hasn't been able to "get faster" since high school, and that has been the top knock on his scouting report. There's no sign that he will ever be able to move laterally. Some guys are built to be quick and some aren't.

Give the next Matt Bullard some time, his shooting is legit......if he could become a little bit less terrible at everything else, he's a decent bench guy.
