To Houston: #1 pick from Sixers Bojan Bogdanovich To Utah: Tobias Harris Danuel House To Sixers: Eric Gordon Joe Ingles Royce Oneale This would be if Utah/phi needs to make changes at deadline. Harris is a better player than what itah gives up but is overpaid...
It has nothing to do with him but his contract. He's a restricted free agent. If a team signs him the Bulls can match regardless of cap space. If you do that the cap space for you is frozen until the bulls match or not. This could mean sitting on the sidelines of free agency while everyone else gets signed. When that happens all the easy money dries up so there's only a few teams left with the space to sign him and if the needs on those teams aren't strong you can end up with bad offers. Most great young players are offered max extensions before restricted free agency. He's still developing...

This is a well thought out trade. I like that the Cavs get a good deal here and are not just used. The Rubio/Garuba relationship is a nice touch. I do agree a lot of this hinges on Ibaka's back situation. But feels likely he could be out for a while. Clippers do not have control of their FRP next season so they would want to win as much as possible.
I like that trade because everyone wins which means Morey isn't going to do it. Gonna hoard Maxey at all cost.
You don't want Simmons on this team. He can't hit the broad side of a barn. Rockets ideal is to have 5 guys on the court at all times who can keep defenses honest to allow a guy like Green (previously Harden) to light it up unhindered. If Simmons is on the court the defense has no fear of slacking off of him and will double team the star forcing them to give up the ball or take a difficult shot. Why do yall think Morey wants him gone??!!! Simmons needs to end up on a team that needs a "star" to market but isn't going anywhere and knows it. We don't want him and most contending teams don't want him as he is a MAJOR hindrance to the offense and when you are in the playoffs you can't have a guy that can't hit a shot or is intentionally put on the line because he can't score there either.
Been trying to think of ways to pull Isaac away from the Magic.. If Sengun shows out later in the season.. does that make Wood expendable? Like I would love to keep him, don't get me wrong. And if we offload Wood we would HAVE to use him as an asset to get off Wall too. Some kind of Wood, House to Warriors Wiseman, Kuminga, Wall and picks to Magic Gary Harris and Isaac to the Rockets
Love Sengun but not sure if he is ready to start THIS season. But Garuba AND Isaac? One of those guys would have to go for spacing reasons.
Was thinking of KPJ, Green, Usman, Isaac, Sengun lineup in my hypothetical. I think you have 3 positive shooters (if from what little we've seen from Sengun holds up) and Isaac who, while he isn't fantastic, i think people will still respect his 33% from 3 enough to close out on him more often than not.
Yeah it's a big if with Sengun.. I had too much fun with Fanspo.. Rockets in: Gary Haris, PatBev, Isaac Rockets out: Wood, Wall, House, Milwaukee 2023 FRP Magic in: Kuminga, Wiggins, Wiseman, Kennard Magic out: Isaac, Gary Harris Clippers in: Wall, Milwaukee 2023 FRP Clippers out: Rondo, PatBev, Kennard Warriors in: Rondo, House, Wood Warriors out: Wiggins, Kuminga, Wiseman
Not saying we should go for him - but I would say Simmons would be a pretty good fit here. We don‘t really have anyone that is great at creating shots for others - and Green isn‘t a good defender. So getting a 1 that is an elite defender and facilitator, that also rebounds and doesn‘t need to get his own shots sound pretty nice. He needs to get some confidence back, but then I would say he would be a perfect fit next to Green.
Griz recieve Eric Gordon Cavs receive PatBev, Danuel House Jnr. Rockets receive Rondo (waive), Ricky Rubio
I just wish You all would stop trying to trade our teams best player Christian Wood. Please let him at least play out his contract and improve from season to season. Y/
No way ... Simmons might be the one contract / player that's worse than Wall. Wall's not hurting anything right now .... He'll be a positive asset in one more year , I'll wait rather than take on a player that doesn't give a f**k and doesn't work to improve. And Tate's my favorite Rocket right now ..... he's a no go from the get go.
Vets are needed on any team. Can't just do 100% youth movement because the older guys help the younger guys develop along with the coaches. All practicing against rookie level talent does nothing to prepare them for an actual game. Now, do you want to pay a vet $40 mil to essentially help you bring up the next generation when you know there's not a snowballs chance in hell you are going to win a Championship? No. Does Wall want to do that? No. Is there anything that can be done to change it right now? Probably not. I think vets like Wall and Gordon would be advantageous for Green, KPJ and Christopher to have around to guide them through the first two seasons. I think a defensive minded vet like Theis Is needed for Sengun. Nwaba for Garuba. The next three seasons are all player development. I don't think we really start talking about competing until year 4 for this rookie class. Practice: Wall vs Porter Jr Gordon vs Green Nwaba vs Garuba Wood vs Martin Jr Theis vs Sengun
Very good take, although I think we will be competing sooner than 4 years, especially after we have the cap room two years from now.
