But is it really a bad deal for OKC though? Whether Sengun’s performance can translate to the NBA is a huge question mark and I think there’s >50% chance the Wizards pick will convey next season. The DET pick could also end up pretty good towards the tail end of the protection.

Trading away picks in a potentially fantastic draft class is never a good idea.

Is that true? Have a hard time believing they'll be another Sengun level talent sitting there at 16. This was an especially loaded and deep draft class.

moreover, whoever you take theres always a question will it translate?
like andrew wiggines was pick no 1 and it didnt translate.....even if he translates
is he gonna injure...is he gonna happy... is he gonna run to la...etc etc
but i guess the mystery box could be anything and a boat is just a boat lololololololol

OKC extracted 2 first-round picks and 2 first-round swaps from us, in a Westbrook-for-Chris-Paul trade.

I’ll start crying for them any century now.

JayGup is Christopher's nickname, but in the op it turned into JayGupta. I can't tell if he was trying to be funny or if autocorrect hit him. lol.

Oh right, that's super funny considering Jay Gupta is an actual common name.

That Wizards pick is very unlikely to convey. There is a good chance Beal isn’t even there by the deadline. The Pistons pick may not convey either with how sad their roster is outside of Cunningham. The Thunder had a pick right outside the lottery and they traded it because they didn’t see anyone on the board they liked.

It’s also ridiculous that Sengun’s SL performance is questioned anymore than any other 19 year old. The only reason it is questioned is because of bias. He has a long wingspan, he has a solid vertical, he can run the floor and can rotate defensively.

Possibly, but not where the Thunder would be drafting (outside the lottery).
