Man, I'm so so so sorry :(. Only consolation is at least it was in his sleep, but I know that's not much. Pulling for you through a difficult time.

Sorry for your loss. I can't imagine what you're going through but I think it's good you were trying the best you could - I know that doesn't make it any easier but think of any good times/memories. I was hoping for a better update based on your last post/plan.

Very very sorry to hear that. Just reading it feels like a gut punch.

At least he passed away peacefully but still doubt it takes the pain away.

    ****.

Man, I am so sorry for you.

Remember the good things. Don't blame yourself. He said he was OK, and chances are he would have passed in his sleep if you were there. You sound like a good son and I'm sure he knew he was a greater person for having you in his life, so you were the greatest thing you could have given him. You can't go back, just remember the good things. We're here for you.

Still seeing a ton of small children/daycares with outbreaks here in Baton Rouge. Our kids started school today. We do not expect them to go long though, I think the spread is going to multiply tremendously via school going back. Louisiana is just a foreshadow of what is to come.

RN at Methodist in Baytown. The ER is full holding over 40 patients because there is no where to put them. They converted a nearby office building into a holding area for ER overflows. Most RN’s are working 1:6 patient ratios. I possibly had the worst shift today in my nursing career. 84% of the patients are unvaccinated, 97% with the delta variant…spread the information, get vaccinated, **** you if you dont.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your mom too.

Too many people have lost loved one's over the past year and half. In one stretch over about a month from late January to early March, the drummer in my band lost his mom, my ex lost her grandmother, a friend from childhood lost her father, and one of my best friends passed away leaving behind two children with no mother. Three of those four deaths were from COVID.
