Yeah alot of ppl on here for whatever reason saw him as some braindead chucker which was never the case.

 

I thought Kobe comparisons were hyperbole. Perhaps I was wrong, even if he never quite reaches that level there are similarities.

 

A lot of people on here loved Mobley and didn’t know how to make a case without tearing someone else down with hyperbolic insults. While they are quiet now, they will come back after Jalen’s first 3-17 game (which will happen at some point).

 

Don’t even put that idea in my head! Please just allow me to enjoy how special he already is at 19 years old. A physically more mature and stronger Jalen Green combined with point guard level handles would be completely unguardable. EXTREMELY SCARY! There would literally be no answer for him. The cool thing is these are both attainable. Getting bigger and stronger is going to naturally happen and he’s a hard worker so he’ll be in the weight room, so we’ll see if he manages to tighten up his handle.

Comparisons are not perfect, but looking at the bit of Jaylen Green I've seen I'm channeling Dave Bing who was also the second pick in the first round decades ago.

This guy is a nut! He played so brilliantly in the playoffs against OKC, it was thrilling. I would love to see that again. Unfortunately, his immaturity and injuries have made him almost useless.

 

He's a useful player, but not a guy that you can rely on consistently enough from night to night.

 

He needs to be traded by the February deadline. There is no doubt, he is fairly talented.

 

I invite you to visit the "Why It Needs Be Mobley" thread... where the hyperbole ensues.

 

The moment we drafted Green, Mobley should have been out of mind for fans. Any realistic comparisons should happen after a few seasons if at all, otherwise it's unfair to either parties. More importantly, MOBLEY IS NOT A ROCKET SO WHY GIVE A ****?
