When he was fat, not so much these days. And it was not his straight line speed or burst that was criticized, it was his lateral quickness.
Which I can see to an extent, I still wouldn’t say he’s stuck in mud laterally. His feet are quick and move well. No, he’s not an Uber elite athlete, but he’s not a scrub either. Just on some of the contests and jump balls you can see he has it in him to play athletically in this league
Real talk, it honestly brings me so much joy to have a true SOF on the board. This is my favorite type of _OF yet.
Rafa is the man. He got quality young players with professional experience (Jalen, Alpie, Garuba) which will advance the timeline for our rebuild. I think all 3 will be playing for us this season. Josh C. - I think he should start in the G-League so he can get the same experience as Jalen. After about a season there, he'll be a quality player coming off our bench.
Yet he doesn't feel like one of those delusional _OF that talk down on anyone but their guy. Very nice poster so far @Sengun Btw, poor guy. It's only 3.30 am here where i am and it's already tough to keep up with every rockets game. One hour later would be even more pain
Looking at SL looks like Detroit got scammed. Everybody assumed Cade was a 6'8 guard looking at him vs Tre Mann he only seems 6'6 or so...Tre Mann is 6'3 1/4 without shoes. OTH Jalen seems to have grown? He is still stick thin but he honestly looks a legit 6'6 as well. Seems a lot taller than his sg counterpart in cleveland and Okoro is 6'5 without shoes. It'd be funny af if Jalen and Cade turns out to be the same height without shoes wtf. Every prospect declaring for the NBA needs to be measured.
he stuck to his guy on perimeter and even blocked his 3pt shot afterwards! thats enough of lateral speed to me
Not you for sure. I’ve just read a few posts claiming he’s slow or a terrible athlete. Just isn’t true
I actually see that knock on Cade so far, he can definitely just float out there sometimes. Probably doesn't help that they have him so much off the ball. I also am not sure about Cade's 1v1 ability which I think should be a concern, but we'll see.
And that’s where position matters, Sengun is a big man. And a decent athlete for a big man, for a guard? Not so much
He's much better in P&R than Green. Other than that i see no advantage for Cade to be quite honest. Some would say defense but i thought Green was good on defense tonight. 1v1 ability is not even close.
