It was probably worth it considering the draft we had. It’s about finding a way to become a contender again, not about avoiding ever having a losing season.
Come on, it might make sense and certainly you understand he had to do what he had to do. But congratulating him? What for? For losing? Sure, he had a nice draft on paper but I can go out there and build a losing team anytime I want. Now, I'll be happy congratulate him if he manages to win it all under Tilfart's miserly ownership. I'll shower him with praise then.
This thread = premature ejaculation. He got us to last place. When the GM gets us to 1st and we have a trophy hanging in the rafters then apologetic threads can start happening. Tinman can then add Stone next to Patterson's name. I will say though we need to just see what this man has planned out before we go around either praising or bashing the guy. Let the Chef finish the plate before judging.
