Olympics should consider using double-elimination after Group (maybe just for Final Four) to compensate for randomness of being on Team USA’s bracket. Aussie went undefeated in Group too; I mean, was there a reason SLO got France’s bracket vs Australia? Was it Group +/- with SLO and France getting their pick of brackets for bing two highest among undefeated teams? btw: were the commentators still saying Luka has a hurt right wrist as explanation for his 3-13 shooting from 3, when it was his left wrist.

Knee-jerk reactions and baseless sweeping generalizations from the Gold Medal game: -KD is the best pure scorer I’ve ever seen -Jrue Holiday is a better player than Damian Lillard -Jayson Tatum is talented, but he takes unnecessarily difficult shots -Khris Middleton either plays like KD-lite or he is completely invisible, there is no in-between -Devin Booker’s confidence got shaken sometime during the Finals, and he hasn’t fully gotten it back yet -Are Bam Adebayo, Jerami Grant, and Javale McGee really the best 3 big men the USA could come up with? The midget US team made Rudy Gobert look like prime Shaquille O’Neal.

He deserves the moniker, even if it's for one night. Guarantee the US wouldn't even medal if it wasn't for KD. Some of the players might not even have gone to Tokyo if KD hadn't gone. Who knows. He's also been consistent across all the gold medal games he's participated in.
BKN should petition the league to have Patty Mills wear his Australian jersey for all their games. He goes from solid role player in an NBA jersey to prime MJ in his Australian one.
