I guess we will see. Depends on health that's why I always maintained that it's a crapshoot predicting how the Harden trade fared.
you must have them confused with someone else. the only new significant addition has been patty mills for a measly 2 year deal. and they lost uncle jeff and SD It's more like everyone flocked to LA in free agency
My fear was this though, exactly this. Like old Durant is probably still dragging his team to the playoffs and attracting other vets to do the same thing. If Kyrie and Harden agree those picks will just tank in value as even if they are old they are still skill based players that will show their age slower. My hope was that they'd fail to win a ring this season and they start all looking elsewhere, if they decide they want to retire in BKN though...ouch. Maybe Harden will be more desperate for a ring though since he doesn't have it and look elsewhere...but I was hoping for a complete blow up and it looks like Durant wants to play out his career there. Things could change of course but now we're just hoping for injuries and that's not a healthy hope to have.
I always figured these guys would stay in Brooklyn. It's really all about health, hard to gauge that.
. . and when his contract ends. . .they will have an amazing gap open in their salary cap to attract other players Rocket River
Maybe...Durant is 32 years old...he is getting his guaranteed money lined up...he can always ask for a trade during his contract.
If Lebron or Jordan can play until they are 38 or 40 repectively, so could Harden and Durant. It's just whether they can still play on a very high level. But the next 2 years are going to be fine barring injuries. They just have to wait for other teams to have season ending injuries for a change.
