Nobody said that. IF, huge if, we don't win every game it will be because our guys want to run and still don't know how to play true defense... just coming into the league. But as they learn I'm sure these guys will come together to play team ball, not iso ball, as many of you think we are still running even with Harden out of town. We just need ball movement and the attempt at a true defensive effort from each player, as they ALL get into the groove of playing with each other. They're young, athletic, and high-flying so YES I absolutely expect them to run all day. Hopefully, even with such limited PT, they can mesh together and play winning basketball... but I don't foresee anyone expecting to see winning basketball except for people here on Clutchfans that expect to see a finished product within a few weeks of practice and still getting acclimated to the speed and style of the game. You guys get what you want out of it, I'm just going to enjoy watching these kids grow and improve.
Serious question. Is summer league really all that important? What do we learn or look for outside of fringe bench players to make the roster? Why are we really worried about a true pg or the roster shape up? Bragging rights as summer league champs?
first look at rookies. especially the lottery picks. and how they fit together with other rookies and vet bench players and team's coaching philosophy and vs other teams rookies/lottery picks and bench
I agree it’s meaningless but it still will be cool to watch the rookies in action. Definitely more entertaining than Texans preseason football.
Wow! Garuba is coming. Seems he’d have to get the OK from Real Madrid, too. This might speak to his buy-out
If by position-less you mean he can play either the 4 or 5, then yes. If you’re alluding to him being athletic enough to play all 5 positions, I whole heartedly disagree. Heck he can’t even guard all 5 positions - check the college tape. time will tell - I’ll take the wait and see approach.
