With multiple established hitters out, it makes sense to leave McCormick in today. I believe Meyers will be good eventually, but it will take a while to adjust and we have enough black holes in the lineup right now as it is.

And perhaps the worst defensive lineup in recent memory.

I just wanna see what Jake Meyers can do. Need to find out sooner rather than later.

When Dusty commits to giving a player a day off, he don't back down. We may see a pitcher playing defense tonight before he gets Correa into the game.

Here's to hoping the Mariners take it to the Yankees this 4-game series so the Astros can crush their souls later this month.

Agreed. Hopefully Meyers get few starts during this homestand.

Dusty didn’t hesitate to get Toro, Garcia, or Stubbs in games. Obviously he wasn’t a fan of Straw being traded.

Oddly, Super Jack is hitting this year, and the man cut to make room for him, Robel, is not.

I agree he probably wasn’t. But did you really want Meyers starting any of the previous 5 or tonight given opponent and other injuries? If so, why?

Brantley should played LF. We should be out of this inning.

Yordan’a range leaves a bit to be desired. He has the Jeter approach to defense.

Yordan doesn’t have much range and now they lead.

Robel has got to go. There is no one in AAA we can call up? Also, agreed with seemingly everyone, why the **** wouldn’t you give Meyers a start by now?
