He gave up 4 runs in the 1st inning. We lost 7-5.

If he has a clean inning we win 5-3. (7-4=3)

You seriously think the game would have gone the exact same way had the first inning been clean?

Feels like 1/2 a win just to see Correa embarrass this prick they worship and anger their fans a little more... lol

Of course the game would have been different, but for all we know the Dodgers may have won 10-2 or lost 3-0 on a no hitter.

Technically, the game going the exact same way after the first would have the same classical probability as any other random outcome. o_O

Not that that means anything, bc baseball nerds already use player data to create empirical probabilities for outcomes during live games. But yes, technically the game could have gone the EXACT same way. Incomprehensibly low odds for that though.

I hope Urquidy comes back strong so we don't have to depend on Odorizzi at all. He's a box of chocolates.

Pissed off/focused Correa is as close as you can get to post-season Correa....

He needs to kill more mistakes. As does Yordan. As does Bregman whenever he's back. Springer is in god mode at the moment... reminding everybody that you get what you pay for, and stars are stars.

That’s what I’ve been sayin. This ain’t about the Astros... more like their living situations suck. They enjoyed all that Chinese money for a long time... now they don’t even own their own state... let’s be honest.

Giants seem to have a better team IMO. Jake from Rake Farm showed up last night - UGH! Everytime Im ready to give up on the guy he tends to win me back, but dude has been off for over a month it seems. Not even sure I could depend on him in the bullpen if he doesnt get his location cleaned up.

Time for another long winning streak!

Springer also missed a ton of games with injuries. Activated on June 22. Not sure how he will hold up. Turns 32 in september.
But yes, he stays healthy and Springer is awesome.
Can't afford everyone though. We are already are at luxury tax cap.

Of course. Mainly pointing out that I would like our stars to also bounce back in similar fashion after being out for an extended period of time due to a leg injury.

After 2019, if you would predict which player would have the worst performance and most time due to injury between Springer/Correa/Bregman... I think it would be safe to say that Alex would have been the lowest suspect.
