Wizards 2nd rounder projects to be good. If it's low enough, maybe we see another PJ like trade where we move from early 2nd to late first.
This .... There will almost certainly be a team in the playoff hunt that desperately needs a 3 and that's when you maximize the return. Hell there could be multiple teams in the bidding pushing the price up. As it stands now , you probably don't get a heavily protected 2nd that will never convey .... patience is a virtue.
It's $47M in one year! If you were John Wall would you ? He's not Chris Paul. He doesn't have a $120M contract waiting on him. Thank you for giving me my first laugh of the day
Danuel House extension? CF faints… How does Houston view Danuel House after not trading him at last year’s deadline? — Owen H. Kelly Iko: There’s been a lot of House talk around Rockets Twitter these days, hasn’t there! The most recent debacle/argument surrounding House wasn’t about anything related to actual basketball — but his jersey number, 4. There was an interesting exchange between House and a prominent member of Rockets Twitter concerning the 4 jersey and the notion that House should relinquish it to Jalen Green — who has made no secret of his love for the number and its significance to him. Obviously, the bulk of Rockets fans want Green to wear 4 because he’s the next best thing, the new hope of the franchise and city and so on. But 4 means a lot to House, too. Anyway, we won’t find out about that until later — any conversation about that would likely be man to man, Green to House. You guys can relax a bit on that front. Basketball-wise, not much has changed with him and his relationship with Houston. House endured a pretty rough season himself, dealing with a number of injuries and never really getting a chance to get into a rhythm or flow. But my gut feeling says the Rockets aren’t trying to trade him. He’s beloved by management and ownership and is viewed quite positively with the coaching staff for a number of reasons. Despite a weird year, he actually improved as a defender, one of his weaker traits during the James Harden years. This offseason, he’s been working with John Lucas on his conditioning, as well as slowing the game down for himself and simplifying his half-court options. Silas is a fan of House’s game and his playmaking, one of the most underrated aspects of his game. We all know Silas loves his ballhandlers and having multiple points of attack. House doesn’t have to be the primary or even secondary playmaker if he’s sharing the floor with names like Wall, Green and Porter. Certainly doesn’t hurt to have another option on the floor, especially when he should be regarded as a legit two-way player. He’s a 36 percent 3-point shooter for his career (he shot 42 percent in 2018-19), and as I’ve said before, Houston shouldn’t be turning their nose down at shooters. He’s extension-eligible, and The Athletic understands that his representation and Houston spoke sometime in Vegas last week during summer league. Houston’s view on their rotation extension-eligible players has always been the same. The Rockets would love to have House around at a number that makes sense for them. It’s up to House and his internal valuation of himself at that point, the same as it was with Gordon, P.J. Tucker, etc.
I've always wondered this about House... even back when half of Clutchfans was caught up in backup-QB syndrome and thought House was the next Michael Jordan:
