Some of y'all owe Stone a apology

What has he done but make a horrible Westbrook for Wall trade and pick the obvious pick at number 2 that we got for being the worst team in the NBA? I don't owe him an apology for anything until we make the playoffs in the next couple of years. The rockets were the worst team in the NBA last year and will most like be the worst this year. Luckily we won't the ping pong ball drama in 2022 at least.

 

I for one, was 100% certain he messed up not getting Simmons…I have already admitted I was so wrong on him, but I’m here to keep eating crow cause he keeps proving how wrong I was for doubting him

 

Nah. Stone was about the only one I wasn't pissed at. He and Silas were handed a **** sandwich and have so far made the best of it.

The future looks pretty rosy right now (after a few years of growing pains), but we all know that optimism doesn't always pan out. Hopefully Rafael will get us to the promised land.

I was mistaken.

 

I've not been critical of Stone, but no one owes him an apology. He's in a high paying, high pressure position. I'm sure he can handle it and doesn't care what a fan forum thinks of him anyway.

Stone has been a better GM than Morey this year, and has done really well with the mess he was handed.

 

How can anyone be wrong when we aren't even in preseason yet?

I think Stone had a good draft and at the time I said the Rockets #1 pick THIS season had to be considered in weighing trade offers.

Having said that there hasn’t been enough time to know how good or bad Stone will be as a GM with the Rockets. Maybe Green becomes a first ballot Hall of Famer and the Rockets win a couple titles … or maybe Green turns out to be DeRozen and Stone is out of a job in 4-5 years.

 

It wasn't Stone that I was wrong about ,it was Tillman . I never thought he would want 6 players at the same time that are 21 years old or younger , four of which are 19

Exactly. The Rockets would be in a big mess right now with Oladipo on the roster. They lucked out of that situation.

 

Maybe the apology should be to Patrick.

 

Too many toxic threads are made, the Stone hate has been crazy. Morey could do no wrong and Stone couldn't get a fair shake. Even guys have been tearing down Jalen Green for the fun of it. Civilized mature discussion is what I'm here for, personal attacks says alot about the commenter.
