Why didn't we draft this guy back in 2002? We could've saved up on a lot of trouble in search of our dream PF.

Don't be greedy. We are only paying him 3mil a year. 27 other teams also missed him.

He's terrific at moving without the ball and finding those open spots on the floor. Adelman finally started going to him a lot more (should have done it far earlier), and I hope it continues. Luis is one of the reasons I'd love to grab Rubio in the draft somehow. Those two together would be beautiful to watch.

This dude is SOLID. He is one of only a few players I would hope is off limits in trade talks. Of course, I would listen to offers, but Scola is emerging into a bit of a force. His shot has gotten more consistant, his moves (while not always pretty) usually get him a layup, and he is able to hang onto the ball unlike the big guy. WAY TO GO LUIS!!! Now go get a haircut.

Fkkkk I almost cried 21 years as an Argentinian Olympian, what a send off, Aussie argentinian players refs coaches all gave him big round of applause.

His last probably at 41 years old

    Viva Luis Scolaaaaa.

if he is half as good as Luis he will have a great career.

Scola is one of my all time favorite Rockets.

I was just thinking how Sengun reminded me of a young Scola with all his footwork.

Saw the recap a 41y/o Scola scored 25 /8 in exhibition play against Australia a couple weeks back. Looks like the Aussies brought the hammer in the quarter finals.

granted im argentinian, buy i been crying watching this videos all morning. I grew up watching the golden generation, back in 2002 when Luis was the young pup of the team. Almost 20 years later and he is retiring from the national team. What a legend. I cried when manu retired and this is just the second time that something as banal as a sportsman retiring actually gets me.
Thanks for all the good memories Luis!

Fantastic to see the send off and respect given to Scola, especially given no crowds.
But yeah the Aussies handed it to the Argentineans yesterday.
A 38 point win and a 46 point turn around given Australia was down by 8 in the 1st qtr.
Exum (the 2nd greatest Rocket ever behind Scola ) played well also.

Don’t tell me Rocket fans are not the best on earth. Where else can you get an appreciation thread that lives on more than a decade?

Scola is one of my fav players EVER.
****, I am Brazilian. You don't know how hard is to recognize that for an Argentinian player.
