I find Powell so hard to judge, he seems to produce, especially made big strides from three but he's really small and cannot help but remember he was virtually unplayable in the Raptors championship run. Especially the finals and with McCollum still there, I'm not sure about the fit and what the Blazers are doing. The contract is not bad though.
So they trade the better player who gets 3/54 so they don't have to pay him, only to pay the next guy 5/90? LMAOOOO
And yet some on this board is b****ing about Stone signing a reserve player for $9 million a year when other GMs are basically shooting themselves in the foot year after year.
Both about 18m / yr. Gary younger, but Norman still in his prime. But Norman will be 33 when his contract ends. Probably his biggest career bag. There were rumblings that Dame and Gary had a falling out, so Blazers shipped Trent to Canada.
They have money to spend whereas with this owner you don't and all you can do is being smart. It's the Fear of Missing Out - the FOMO.
C'mon you know why . They're trying to keep Dame. Owner showing he's still spending to support him. Powell (resign), Zeller, and BMac. It's arguable if they're super improved, but at least they can show Dame they're moving pieces.
He actually played pretty well in his days with the Raptors, but still I seriously doubt any other teams out there will be offering this kind of contract to him.
