Whatever you think of Nwaba, its hard to be mad at that contract. Might have some trade value depending on how he plays and I bet he's even better next season.
I'm good with that. Hard working vet and highly tradeable contract. There will always be teams looking for wings like Nwaba on an affordable contract at the deadline.
Btw Brown only got a 6.3 million deal over 2 years with the Mavs, but clearly there was no role for him here.
At the 3? We have Tate, Martin, House playing the 3...I like Nwaba but he cannot shoot...great defense guy
"Dear Josh Christopher, please watch David Nwaba very closely. This is what your role in the NBA looks like" So I assume this means we want to try and win games.
The Rockets were close to an agreement Monday with forward David Nwaba on a three-year deal that would be worth up to $15 million, a person with knowledge of the deal said. The first two seasons of the contract would be fully guaranteed, he said, with a team option for the third.
I love that stone has a vision and is sticking to it….shows he’s going to throw the young guys into the fire giving them the touches they need and surround them with role playing defensive guys that play hard all the time stone won me over long ago, but god it just keeps getting better (this message comes to you from a nwaba stan, so I may be biased)
Tate and Nwaba is a nice tandem at the 3. Given the guard depth, and Martin’s ability to slide down to the 3, this makes a House move seem even more imminent. Porter/Wall/Augustin/[Brooks] Green/Gordon/Christopher/Thomas Tate/Nwaba/House Theis/Martin/Garuba/[Lamb or Hurt] Wood/Sengun
Yeah - House looks toasted now. He has a decent contract, and his 2nd stint in the playoffs was actually pretty good. I'd be surprised if a contending team isn't interested in adding wing depth
