JJ Watt: The Texans trainers and doctors too conservative https://www.nfl.com/news/new-team-o...-in-rebirth-with-arizona?campaign=Twitter_atn
I wouldn't be surprised if JJ put together a couple more years of very good to elite play as kind of a "see I still got it" last hurrah. Spite is a hell of a motivator.
JJ Watt: The Texans trainers and doctors too conservative! That’s why I stayed injured! Deshaun Watson: The Texans massage therapists are too conservative (so I had to go to 40+ Instagram masseuses!) David Johnson: Bill O’Brien was too conservative! I’m still that thousand-yard back! “Defensive line coach Brentson Buckner, who played in 174 games over 12 NFL seasons, is working to convince his star newcomer that less can be more. He wants to get Watt's snap count in the 65 percent range, rather than 90 percent, but that entails convincing Watt that it is the best thing for both him and the team.” Cardinals are being too conservative! “[Watt] went from 69 quarterback pressures during 21 games in 2017 and '18 to 58 pressures in 24 games the past two years. His pressure rate fell during that time from 10.1 to 7.1, per NGS, while his pass rush get-off rose from .76 seconds to .87.” Opened camp with a hamstring injury. I suppose that too is the Texans [doctors/trainers] fault.
As do I. Watt is a lock. We'll see with Hopkins. Calvin Johnson was first ballot so I think DeAndre gets there too. I really want to see Andre Johnson get in.
Watt will. He only hated BOB and they allowed him to leave on his terms.. DeAndre probably not because how he got treated on the way out.
Both J.J. and DeAndre will go in as Texans...and as Cardinals...and as whatever mascot represents whatever other teams for whom they'll play. It's not like Cooperstown where the they have a cap on. The busts are un-helmeted and just have a small clear plate that lists their name, position and the teams they played for and the years for which they played for them listed in chronological order. The Texans already have a Hall of Famer...Ed Reed.
