Yeah, it's really rare...but, so is this kid's talent. Nobody thought him to be capable of 50 and 10 against Jrue and the Bucks. There's an extremely short/impressive list of players that have done that too. And, KPjr is the youngest.
I’m gonna be happy/ecstatic if Scoot can put up 17.5 and 7.5 on elevated efficiency but make no mistake, if Kevin gets to 20/10!! Hold on...side bar..my little bro said Kevin would get to 25/10 and I told him I’d pay his rent for a year if that happened..back to reality somewhat, if Kevin does hit 20/10 I’ll shave my head on camera and tip jar $250
THAT is a very good question...likely some lag short term... At the same time once Jalen grows into his destiny : ), it will likely become a more mutually symbiotic deal. So, the numbers will swing around some for sure. Either way, it bodes well for the good guys.
Some of you are going to be seriously disapointed when the season starts and reality puts a foot up your ass. I mean, why can't all four of our rookies win ROY? And maybe they can share MVP, too... Even if things work out very well, objectively, some people around here will be totally disilusioned and disapointed.
I didn't say anything about winning a bunch of games. We're headed back to one of the 5-8 worst records. One way or another....
It feels like some people are selling KPjr short as a talent. I would not be surprised at all if he had a more productive career than Green. And that isn't a diss on Green. KPj has a ceiling through the roof, and hasn't even played in a full season worth of NBA games yet... His best is yet to come. 20 and 10? Not sure he will, but only because 10 assists per game is pretty rare, and there might be more scoring spread with Wood getting 20ppg - let alone others. But he CAN do it, whether or not he will is another story.
I don't see KPJ as a multitasker. He's a scorer. Green is a scorer. Those two will light it up. Wall be traded. He's going to be great on the knicks or sacramento since they are hell bent on just collecting point guards
True, I didn't realize he averaged 17 last year, I'd say it's possible then if Wall is benched or traded. The assists may come down to the rest of the team hitting open shots, I'm sure KPJ will set them up properly. I'll say 18/8 with Wood and Green are also averaging around 20ppg.
I think the odds of him having another 50/10 game are higher than him averaging 20/10. People need to stop using one game to predict a guy's career. Let's watch him for one more full season before we make judgment. Same with all the young guys we have. Green, Porter, Wood, and Sengun all have high ceilings. If history tells us something, it is safe to bet that at least two of them won't reach their ceilings. But that's okay. If only two of them become what we dream of them to be, then we will be a very good team.
