But that seems like the whole theme this year. Our bullpen is a joke. Too many walks.

I know it was cost prohibitive and Scherzer wouldn’t have come anyways but not addressing the fact that we don’t have a bonafide ace is going to be our undoing this postseason.

    If we have homefield advantage...

    McCullers
    Garcia
    Framber
    Greinke
    McCullers

He's currently making 33 million sitting at home this season....

Win some lose some, just try to get the series win tomorrow. Greinke had a s**t start, it happens. 2 runs in 4 innings out of the pen isn't why we lost this game.

They need to move Javier back to tandem work, because he doesn't seem to function well as a standard reliever.

It probably will. They need an ace and don’t have it.

I'm not holding my breath on McCormick. I see a total let down in his future and maybe not much better than Jake Marisnick.

Greinke was ass. At least Oakland lost.

I am disappointed that Dusty and Strom have not developed a real plan to use Javier in tandem with Jake. Dusty, generally, does not use his bullpen in any coherent fashion.

Win tomorrow. No surrender! Felt like a playoff game with all the homers they were hitting.
In retrospect, I would have to seen Raley out there to see the reaction after giving up a grand slam.

Baker needs to be fired at once.

I wonder if Blummer would step out of the booth, at least temporarily. It worked well with Dierker.

Or a really outside of the box trade (though it's happened before) is Trading a Manager. Now the one I'm thinking about was a Manager for players which wouldn't be possible. But a manager for manager or manager for cash could still work.

    Check out #5.

Really really amazing and novel take. We've never heard that before. It's NOT happening. You think there is anyway in hell Crane is taking the media $hitstorm for firing Baker after getting one game from the World Series last year and how the Baker hiring was applauded after the cheating scandal? NOT HAPPENING.

Click gave him dog poop in the pen. There is a reason we have FOUR new relievers at the deadline and it's not because Click did a great job building the roster in the offseason. He spent over 9 million on Stanek, Raley, and Baez.

Meanwhile, you could have had half the relievers that were traded at the deadline for 9 million like Kennedy, Tepera, Chafin, Graveman, and still had a couple million left over. Talent evaluation wasn't exactly up to par....

I'm not a big fan of Dusty by any means, but when your choices out of the pen are trash can, dumpster fire, or $hit head I don't expect miracles.

I'm definitely not a fan of bakers bullpen usage, lineup construction, and in game moves but I would really like for him to get that ring this year.
What a storybook ending that would be.
Astros win a undisputed clean title and Baker rides off into the sunset with a ring.

I'm thinking we just need to make it to the World Series. The Dodgers, no matter how loaded they are, still have Dave Roberts. IF, that's a big IF, the Dodgers make it that is.....
