Thanks for the post draft article @Clutch, excellent as usual!! ;)

My only critique is, you mentioning a certain “Fat Elvis” in your article. Darnell is excommunicado for his treasonous act, and IMHO, severely passé to be mentioned in this beautiful site!!

    As far as the players…
    Clutchfans it’s Fantastic!!!

Morey did a great job by getting a top 4 protection on the pick, after giving up so much for RW. He had little choice with Tilman's orders.

Once they ALL produce on the court, especially improvement on defense, this friend group thing will become a pure positive.

I'm optimistic about the future because Rafael Stone is our GM. He will hold everyone accountable. He is a good talent evaluator.

That’s a great clip. He’s on the court with two very high picks in his draft, Suggs and Barnes, and they are having one hell of a good time playing with our guy.

Like @Clutch said, and I quote, “I think Green could be an NBA magnet — the type of star that other guys want to play with — and it’s phenomenal to think the Rockets might have that so quickly after dealing away James Harden.

Time will tell but this looks like a game-changing pick.”

    Well said, Clutch!

Man over a month ago we were sweating bullets we’d end up with the 5th pick yielding it to the Thunder.

Here we sit now with the absolute best draft outcome. I’m getting the feeling that some in the Pistons organization feel we may have the better player eventually between Cade and Green. But as of today Cade is the consensus #1 pick….

Nonetheless, Rocket Red Nation is ecstatic about how the draft turned out.

What we need now is a few veteran players who don't have big egos that can guide these kids on how to play in the NBA. Wall and Gordon don't look like that kind of guys. Mayby Olynyk is if we re-sign him? Not sure.

I really hope they can find a taker for Wall. I have a feelin that he might impede the development of the young players.

Wall can be sent out with multiple picks. That's not acceptable to us. Gordon may become tradeable, if he's fit and fairly efficient by the February deadline, but not by himself.

Agreed that it's not worth giving up multiple picks just to unload Wall. We'll see how it develops. If the young guys show real promise and Wall is in the way, then there are only 3 possible options:
    1. bench Wall, with the risk of him being a distraction (Melo 2.0?)
    2. buy him out, with the risk on Tilman's wallet
    3. give up draft assets to trade him

Benching him is the least worse of all the choices.

Pipe dream would be CP3. But his goal is to win a ring so he's obviously not coming here.

Agree. Rockets will get another lottery pick by being organically bad/young next season but then it's time to push for the playoffs I think. Hopefully these kids pan out and they hit on another foundational piece and another solid role player next year.

I was hoping the Rockets would trade into 2nd to get Sharife Cooper or Rokas Jokubaitis. Feel like we're still missing a true PG, a floor general.
