The OP and this video are ridiculous, if you were convinced by the logic in that video that is scary. It does not matter what a communist country determines is the bottom line, we do not need to succumb to inhumane ideas because it hurts their feelings. Darryl made a comment on American soil and is protected by our laws, we do not need to follow what the CCP says ever. The analogy of using the N word vs. promoting the safety of people is highly insulting as well, I have no idea how these people made this connection or chose this analogy because it literally makes no sense. The analogy of a hypothetical scenario where CA would be annexed, also this is idiotic logic because a large majority of CA is not desperately trying to free themselves from a communist regime, if they were and the US was preventing it, no one here would care what someone in China said about it, they would be supporting freedom. The Chinese people also enslave millions of uyghur's and force them into labor camps, does that mean we can not speak out against it as American's or is that crossing the line as well? If you are doing something disgustingly inhumane, you can not hide behind some cultural wall and claim that anyone speaking against it needs to be punished. I think it is very hard for them to understand this concept because they have never been given these freedoms. Making any sort of apology or backing down would be a massive mistake on the NBA and Darryl's part. You are talking about giving into communist pressure to be just like them, for what? A dollar?

My guess is that the NBA is looking to expand worldwide, I think it makes sense to expand to countries that are democratic and avoid communist countries. Expand to India, continue efforts in countries in Africa as well. China is not a place where NBA talent will come from, so it is better to expand to areas where they can recruit talent. No single country will replace the revenue of China, but I believe making it an international sport they will easily be able to reach their goals for growth. China did not miraculously become obsessed with the NBA, the NBA invested in China and received returns on that investment. This can be done other places and currently is. I am Ok with losing the China partnership.

 

all the more reason to support daryl on that matter, because theres even a minority here growing thinking ccp is right and in our country we should arrest someone for that kind of thing.

BTW, I dont trust our govt either. They're really to blame, they shouldn't have gotten in bed with the Chinese to begin with. We can thank Kissinger and the globalists for some of this, but this really falls squarely on the Chinese. People should be able to recognize evil when they see it and call out evil for what it is.

I have no ties to Morey or any government on this planet. And I am glad to be just a private person.

I haven't been a fan of his when he was here but I have never publicly spoken against him and his Moreyball as well.

I do not care about him and his Sixers nor do I feel anything when the Rockets beat his ass.

As a guy of Asian descent and some little knowledge about it, I think there is a rift, a discrepancy between those 2 countries for sure.

On a political level I have never seen a country dissing socialism so hard than the US.

In the European Union where I am residing now, socialist parties are a part of the political spectrum.
