I've done it the two times my AC was out for a week in the summer. Some of the best $200 I've ever spent. Just sold it online for $50 less when I was done....so really it was just $50. Takes 5 minutes to install.

My point was they were gonna finish it today so I wasn't gonna go buy a window unit. Thanks though, but it's working now.

If you go too deep though you will hit lava. Good to have a middle ground here.

It must be the humidity you have in Houston or something. In our summer homes we have no air-condition or fan and only when it gets over 99F it gets too hot. 95,96F is just fine.
    Hang in there deb4rockets.

Every time I see this thread title, I think it’s a cry for help, with Deb walking slowly toward an abandoned refrigerator in a weed-filled lot outside the loop.

Don't you just love the graphics on this box?

No. How can you love a box or a toy or graphics?

You're a grown man. It's camp! The tragically ludicrous? The ludicrously tragic?

Oh, yeah. Like when a clown dies.

I’ll be honest. I was disappointed that the thread title wasn’t a metaphor.
