Hate this pick so much. Stuck-to-the-floor, no lateral movement, and cost 2 FRPs?

I'm not saying he's Jokic 2.0, but those are also weaknesses of the current MVP.

And all that was before Sengun lost a lot of weight.

2 HEAVILY PROTECTED FRPs that are unlikely to ever amount to anything. We basically got a very young and very talented big for 2 SRPs.

that pistons pick was only top 8 protected one of those years. There is a much better chance those picks are conveyed than being second round picks. I still like the trade for the most part though.

Also, dude is an MVP on a grown men league. High upside, is 18yo, ranked top 5 in some boards. I thinks this is as good potential as you can get at #16.

Pick is gold from a draft perspective. Once he gets into the court, real life. But until then, nothing to do here but to give kudos to the front office.

Put Sengun, as is, on any of the two teams in this years finals and he tips the scales in favor of his team!

Which young (say under 20) euro who dominated their league and came over didn't translate?

Why do you guys compare him to Jokic? He is more like DMo tbh, a shorter and faster version.

I tend to view late first round picks as 2nd round picks anyways. The Detroit one seems most promising, but with Cade it becomes uncertain IMO.

Bro the protection lasts until 2027. Cant bother to look it up but I aint waiting that long when I can get a pick today for it.

Same thing with the other pick. They both have protections until 2027 after which they become 2nd round picks.

That simplistic mentality is why you would likely make an awful NBA GM.
