I think the ultimate FU would be to stand pat, NOT pay $30M in luxury tax alone, and STILL beat them in the World Series. All while having none of our players go to jail.

Would you entertain a trade for Salvador Perez? Would take a lot. 5 years left on contract. Making 20 million a year.
We are a solid team. No starters out there that would crack our number one slot. We could upgrade catcher, upgrade center. Every other position is a lock. Back of the bullpen looks good. We could try and make a big splash with Kimbrel/Bryant if Astros want to go over luxury tax. Try for Salvador Perez. We don't have a ton of prospects to ship out.
Houston is still the best team IMO in the AL. I still hope Click does something else. I think just adding two arms shouldn't be a job completed.
They don't have as many great players which allows them to be buyers and sellers at the same time. If the Astros even tried to trade their closer, there would be a revolt.
